Imperial Settlers: Amazons is an exciting expansion to the popular deckbuilding game that introduces a new mechanic for changing the contents of your faction deck during the game. This unique twist on the traditional deckbuilding genre allows players to focus on powerful combos, making for a more strategic and dynamic gameplay experience.

The Amazons are a unique faction that extensively use cards with the “building bonus”. Most of their faction cards are useful and produce valuable resources only when built, while usually having only the foundation as their cost. This minor change is in fact huge for how we treat our faction buildings. As such, Amazons get a lot of bonuses for building their cheap faction cards, which allows them to produce valuable resources and advance their empire.

One of the most interesting things about the Amazons is that they will not discard their faction foundation when used to build another card. Instead, they will put it back in their faction deck. This allows players to reconstruct their faction deck during play, giving them more control over their strategy and making it easier to focus on the few cards that will grant the most victory points.

In addition to the unique deckbuilding mechanic, the Amazons expansion also includes 110 new faction cards divided into three types: Producers, Buildings, and Raiders. These cards introduce new abilities and strategies that players can use to gain an edge over their opponents.

The expansion was created by Joanna Kijanka, based on the faction idea of Ignacy Trzewiczek, with great artworks by Roman Kucharski and Anastasia Meylus. As you may have realized by now, all new Imperial Settlers factions begin with the letter "A" — and this is no exception!
